SoremiAlert services: In a situation where someone you care for may have been involved in a natural disaster, act of terrorism or other emergency, RUOK allows you to register your concern via SoremiAlertmobile or simple SMS, likewise allowing survivors to register themselves as safe. A single response from a survivor results in an IMOK notification to all concerned. The use of the SoremiAlert RUOK/IMOK service will greatly reduce network congestion during emergencies freeing valuable communication resources for the emergency services. ![]() Telephone calls require repeated attempts to get connections and once connected result in longer than necessary conversations leading to congestion. The use of SMS itself would help reduce network congestion as times of emergency. The SoremiAlert RUOK/IMOK service goes further by physically reducing the volume of SMS sent in to and from an emergency area. ![]() In an emergency, time is critical. Subscribers have the option to store vital emergency information online for instant access via SoremiAlertmobile or online via my.soremialert.com. The following information is stored in the form of simple check and text boxes: * Medical history, current medication and allergies * Immunisation records * Vaccination records * General and travel insurance details and contacts * Blood donation preferences * Organ donation preferences Pressing “4” from within SoremiAlertmobile results in a summary of this information being sent back to the mobile phone. If full information is needed, access is granted via the SoremiAlert website. For subscribers using SoremiAlertmobile, SoremiAlert offers authenticated source and encrypted messages. A critical and unique feature to avoid hoaxes. Using SoremiAlertmobile and a mobile phone keypad, automated alerts are sent to emergency contacts. A single act notifies multiple people. ![]() SoremiAlert stores contacts for five next of kin with SoremiAlert Silver subscribers being able to set an additional temporary emergency contact and up to two emergency contacts per city. On triggering of an emergency up to five alerts are sent depending on a subscriber’s settings. All emergency contacts must at least be registered with SoremiAlert, needing to be a Classic subscriber to benefit from dynamic update of contact numbers listed by dependents as and when an account is updated and to access additional services. ![]() SoremiAlertmobile is currently available for Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Windows Smartphone mobiles, Symbian S40 and S60 mobiles and S6, S7 and S8 mobiles. For those without SoremiAlertmobile, simple SMS can be used to access most SoremiAlert services: * ACC * REG *TEST * SUPP * RUOK / IMOK * STI / STX / STO * ALERT * BLOOD * TRAVEL / RETURN One is never alone with the SoremiAlert Safetrak service. Safetrak provides reliable contact for those in potential danger as a result of being alone or in an unsafe situation. A subscriber can "check in" to SoremiAlert setting a fixed number of minutes within which to "check out" again. Failure to “check out” in time will result in reminders followed by the triggering of emergency alerts to emergency contacts. ![]() Safetrak is an ideal solution for companies with late shift or lone workers, obliged to ensure a safe journey home. It is impossible to call thousands of employees to confirm they have reached home safely. It is however feasible to call the handful of employees that fail to “check out” of a Safetrak. If one is in need of blood SoremiAlert instantly sends SMS to matching donors based on donor preferences stored online by willing subscribers. When identifying matching blood donors our system considers blood group, period since last donation request and location. Many hospitals only give blood on a replacement basis. Getting blood donors in time is not always easy, especially if travelling. With the SoremiAlert blood donor contact service matching donors are just an SMS away. Designed for travellers and expatriates the SoremiAlert Travcon service enables subscribers to store two emergency contacts for different cities around the world. Using SoremiAlertmobile to notify SoremiAlert of a change in location, allows our system to automatically pick up the right contact in case of an emergency. If emergency contacts change their numbers, SoremiAlert automatically updates all records. Travcon also allows SoremiAlert Silver subscribers to set a temporary emergency contact and change one’s registered mobile number in cases where different SIM cards are used when travelling overseas. SoremiAlert is designed to work on all networks in all countries around the world. To date we have not found any mobile networks that do not support our platform. See the section titles "Coverage" below. A useful add-on to Travcon, this service gives SoremiAlert Silver subscribers the ability to register with their nation's embassy (should they opt in) when abroad. In case of emergencies, embassies can contact their nationals individually or collectively. There are two types of registration: * Direct, where participating embassies have two-way communication via individual Embassy Messaging Centres with SoremiAlert Silver subscribers bring registered directly with a local embassy. * Indirect, where on request, non-participating embassies have access to real-time registers maintained by SoremiAlert for one-way communication (embassy to national).
